It is safe to say that we are as crazy about crossstitch as you are !! We have been established since 1999, and our reputation for good service is now well known - we receive many repeat orders from customers throughout the world. Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Catalogue, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on "Order" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.
We accept the following payment methods:   Credit / Debit card payment - payments can be made securely through the web site (see notes on security below), or you may opt to 'Send details separately' - we will gladly accept your card details by phone, fax or post.
PayPal - Select PayPal as a payment option when ordering then remit the total amount payable to our dedicated email address : paypal@stitchdirect.co.uk .

Our prices are in UK Pounds, with a conversion to the Euro in brackets -
PLEASE NOTE this is only for rough guidance only and due to variations in exchange rates may vary from the amount debited. There is also a facility at the checkout to perform a currency conversion into other currencies.
We accept Visa, Visa Electron,MasterCard, Switch, Delta, and Solo cards. Payments are not taken until the goods are shipped.
Our web site utilises the latest secure on-line credit card authorisation service. However you may send your credit card information via phone, fax or post if you prefer.

Shipping And Handling Our Postage is charged on the actual weight of your order.
You will be notified of your actual postage charge as you proceed through the checkout area. You are not committing to any purchase until you enter your payment details.
Purchases within the UK
By Royal Mail:
Minimum charge is £1.00 for weights up to 300g after that it is approx 10p per 20g.
By Next Working Day Courier:
Up to 500g the charge is £6.00
500g to 1kg the charge is £7.00
Between 1kg and 10kg the charge is £16.16
If you select the Next Working Day Courier Service you will be notified the day we despatch your item that it is on its way to you. If you think you may not be in on the day of delivery - then please email us with your order number and any special delivery instructions i.e - leave with neighbour. Wherever possible items will be despatched the working day you place your order, however if the item is not in stock at that time, this will not be possible, and an email will be sent advising you that it is out of stock and if we have an approximate delivery date. Orders placed after 3pm will be despatched the next working day.
All purchases outside UK but in Europe:
Standard Airmail:
Up to 100g - £1.03
There after each 20g is approximately an extra 11p
Over 500g each parcel is sent by Airsure/International Signed for - which means that the parcel is insured and will need to be signed for. The cost for this service is £4.00 plus postage.
Airsure/International Signed For:
Up to 100g - £5.91
There after each 20g is approximately an extra 13p
Purchases outside the UK & Europe:
Standard Airmail:
Up to 100g - £1.37
There after each 20g is approximately is an extra 19p

Delivery Schedule We aim to provide next day despatch on any order sent. You should recieve a email confirmation of ordering within 24 hours - We will contact you again if part / all of your order is out of stock. Please see our policy for Back Orders.
When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

| Back Orders If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait - your card will not be charged until the item is posted. |
| Credit Card Security We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our shopping system over the Internet. All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption. Although laws vary across the world, using your credit card is probably the safest way to purchase items & certainly the most convenient. |
| Guarantee We offer a 30 day exchange policy on items provided they are in a resalable condition and in their original packaging. We reserve the right to deduct our shipping charges from your refund, unless the reason for return was an error on our part. Any refunds will be processed by us within 3 working days, upon receipt of returned goods. Emailed charts by Heaven and Earth are not able to be returned/refunded. |
